In high school basketball Tuesday night, Cotter lost both of its games at Valley Springs. The Tigers moved to 5-0 with a 79-37 win over Cotter. The Warriors fall to 0-3.

In the girls’ game, Valley Springs defeated Cotter 54-42. Kate Cheek scored 14 and Kaylee Crownover had 11 for the Lady Warriors who are now 0-1. The Valley Springs girls improve to 4-1.

Norfork lost a pair of games at Viola. The Longhorns took the senior boys’ contest 70-44 to improve to 5-0 on the campaign. Norfork falls to 1-4.

In the senior girls’ game, Viola topped Norfork 65-39 to run their record to 6-0. The Lady Panthers fall to 2-3.

Flippin split its senior high games at home against Jasper. The Bobcats are now 3-1 after topping the Pirates 74-60.

Jasper won the senior girl’s contest 60-46. The Lady Bobcats are now 0-2.

Izard County split its varsity games at Mammoth Spring. In the senior boys’ contest, Izard County won 71-47 to improve to 4-0 on the season. Justus Cooper paced the Cougars with 19 points, Calem Faulkner scored 15, Chase Orf had 14 and Coby Everett 10. For Mammoth Spring, Zack Flynn scored 14 points.

In the varsity girls’ game, Mammoth Spring handed Izard County its first loss 53-34. Shelby VanGinhoven paced the Lady Bears with 18 points and Lauren Mitchell scored 17 as the Mammoth Spring girls improve to 4-1. Izard County is now 3-1. The Lady Cougars got 20 points from Allison Newman.

In the junior boys’ game, Mammoth Spring downed Izard County 39-16.

In other boys’ action, Omaha topped Kingston 70-51.

In other girls’ games, Lead Hill slipped past Western Grove 65-63 and Omaha lost to Kingston 50-46.
