Two additional candidates have filed for political offices in Baxter County, while three had filed in Marion County at the close of the week.
In Baxter County, Republican incumbent William Waldrop has filed for the Distinct 4 seat on the quorum court, while Patrick Smith has filed for constable for District 2.
In Marion County, three Republican incumbents have filed for reelection on the quorum court. Talon Vancurren filed for District 3, Wesley Shipman for District 7 and Joyce Ann McCalla for District 9.
The filing period for political party candidates closes at noon Tuesday.
