Flippin man hit, injured after trying to cross road near Springfield

A Marion County man was injured Saturday evening after he was struck while attempting to cross a highway near Springfield. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 72-year-old Harry Bryan of Flippin was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with what were described as moderate injuries.

Bryan was a pedestrian on U.S. Highway 65 north of Springfield. He was attempting to cross the northbound lanes when he was struck by a pickup truck driven by 42-year-old Judd Zembsch of Springfield.

Zembsch was not injured, and his truck had minor damage in the 6:28 p.m. accident.
