BMGRonnie Wood‘s latest solo, Mad Lad: A Live Tribute to Chuck Berry, an homage to one of the Rolling Stones guitarist’s musical heroes, is out now.

The album, which is credited to Ronnie Wood and His Wild Five, was recorded in November 2018 at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne, U.K., and features renditions of 10 tunes written and/or recorded by Berry, plus an original Wood song titled “Tribute to Chuck Berry.”

An official video for Mad Lad‘s instrumental title track has premiered on Wood’s YouTube channel. The clip follows Ronnie as he hops into the back of a limousine and plays some mean slide guitar as he gets taken for a wild ride around some Los Angeles side roads.

The concert captured for the Mad Lad album features Wood joined on several tunes by acclaimed Irish singer/songwriter Imelda May and British pianist Ben Waters, who also played with Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts‘ side group The ABC and D of Boogie Woogie.

The album is available in several configurations and formats, including digitally, on CD, on heavyweight vinyl and as a super-deluxe box set featuring the CD, the LP and a limited-edition print of the Wood-created cover art, a t-shirt and a signed and numbered set list.

Ronnie will be playing three U.K. shows this month to promote Mad Lad, on November 21 at the Shepherds Bush Empire in London, November 25 at Birmingham Symphony Hall and November 27 at the Opera House Manchester.

In other news, a series of limited-edition watches featuring dials hand-painted by Wood are available now from the luxury British watch company Bremont. The watches are priced at about $45,000.
