The community is invited to attend the Veterans Memorial Park rededication ceremony at noon Saturday in Calico Rock. The park is being relocated to the grounds of the Calico Rock VFW Post (next to King City Park and the Tip Wiseman Rodeo Arena) to allow for better parking and access by veterans and those choosing to spend some time reflecting on those who have passed and served.
VFW Commander Fred Blickle asked Calico Rock Mayor Greg Hamby to relocate the park, after seeking input from local veterans and the VFW.
Those interested in purchasing a memorial brick to honor loved ones or friends who served in the United States Armed Forces to be placed at Veterans Memorial Park, should call Calico Rock City Hall at 870-297-3772.
