Baxter Regional Medical Center has won two awards in an annual marketing competition sponsored by the Arkansas Hospital Association (AHA) and Arkansas Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ASHMPR). The awards were presented at the AHA annual meeting in October.

The Diamond Awards recognize excellence and encourage improvement in the quality, effectiveness and impact of healthcare marketing and public relations in the state.

Judging for each entry was based on goals and objectives, the audience to whom the entry was directed, reasons for choosing the format, frequency and quantity and portions created internally.

BRMC received Diamond Awards in the publication category for Pulse magazine and in the advertising-special visual category for its Accomplishments of 2018 video.

Pulse is a bi-annual magazine recreated from a 1980s Baxter Regional publication of the same name. The magazine is produced by Sarah Knight of Wheelhouse Design in partnership with the Baxter Regional marketing team led by Tobias Pugsley, director of marketing, that also includes Brittany Honey, marketing specialist, and Adrienne Koehn, graphic designer.

Pulse was designed to be informative and useful to hospital staff, patients and the community and includes news, features and regular columns on a wide range of health-related topics.

The Accomplishments of 2018 is a short, anthem video showcasing accomplishments achieved during 2018. It was produced by James Moore, videographer and owner, Moore Visuals, and the Baxter Regional marketing team. The video presents information and shares it across several platforms such as Facebook, YouTube and Baxter Regional’s informational screens located throughout the facility. It reached more than 24,000 people on Facebook alone.

Baxter Regional also received a certificate of excellence in the annual report category for the 2017 Baxter Regional Hospital Foundation Annual Report. Brooks Jeffrey Marketing, Inc. has produced a foundation annual report since 2009 and works closely with foundation staff on the project. Printed copies are made available for all Baxter Regional donors, and digital files are available to view and download at baxterregional.org Baxter Regional.
