Heide signs to join tennis team at Harding

For the third time in five days, a Mountain Home High School senior has made a decision to continue an athletic career on the collegiate level officially. Emily Heide signed a national letter of intent on Monday to join the tennis program at Harding University in Searcy.

Heide says there were multiple factors toward her decision to become a Bison.

Heide is the most decorated tennis player in Mountain Home history. She won the individual state championship in Class 6A in 2016 and 2017 and finished as the Class 5A runner-up in 2018. She also contributed to the Lady Bombers winning the team state championship in 2016.

Heide attributes her success to the Mountain Home High School coaches, past and present, and the staff at the Mountain Home Tennis Center.
