Inside RecordingsJackson Browne‘s recent collaborative single with singer/songwriter Leslie Mendelson, “A Human Touch,” will be released as a limited-edition red-vinyl disc as part of the 2019 Record Store Day Black Friday event, which takes place November 29.

The 12-inch disc is pressed on 180-gram vinyl, and features a custom etching on one side. It comes packaged in a gatefold sleeve, and includes a digital download card featuring an MP3 of “A Human Touch,” and a link to the song’s official video.

All proceeds from the “A Human Touch” vinyl disc will be donated to the (RED) charity, which supports the global fight against AIDS and HIV.

“A Human Touch,” which Browne wrote with Mendelson and her regular collaborator Steve McEwan, is heard during the end credits of the recently released documentary 5B. The film tells the story of the first hospital ward in the U.S. created to treat AIDS and HIV patients: the 5B ward at San Francisco General Hospital.

Mendelson appears in a new video promoting the vinyl version of “A Human Touch” that’s been posted on Record Store Day’s official Facebook page.

Regarding the 5B documentary, she says, “It’s really about the doctors and the nurses who took care of these patients when no one knew what the disease was. And it’s a beautiful film and I recommend everyone to see it.”

The disc will be available exclusively in independent record shops across the U.S. on November 29.

In other news, Browne has just two concerts on his 2019 schedule, both taking place at Oklahoma casinos during the last week of the year. Here they are:

12/29 — Thackerville, OK, WinStar World Casino and Resort – Global Event Center
12/30 — Tulsa, OK, The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
