Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule, as another season gets underway for Mountain Home High School. The Bombers and Lady Bombers start the 2019-2020 campaign in front of the home crowd, as they meet Fayetteville.

Mountain Home’s girls are coming off a season in which they finished 19-11. The Lady Bombers ended the previous season in the semifinals of the Class 5A State Tournament with a two-point loss to Jonesboro.

Mountain Home head coach Dell Leonard says this year’s team is ready to get back on the hardwood and get the season underway.

Fayetteville comes into the game with a record of 2-1. The Lady Bulldogs finished the Dandra Thomas Invitational Tournament in Conway with a three-point loss to the Lady Wampus Cats on Saturday.

The Mountain Home boys ended up with a mark of 9-17 last season and finished seventh in the 5A-East. While the Bombers did graduate six seniors from last year’s team, head coach Josh Fulcher says this year’s squad is not without experience.
