An area bridge recently closed due to safety concerns has reopened for the Thanksgiving holiday. According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the Beaver Creek bridge on U.S. Highway 160 near Kissee Mills in Taney County was opened to two-way traffic Tuesday at 1 p.m.

MoDOT crews have shored up the deteriorating bridge support and made the structure safe for travel over the holiday period. Beginning Monday and possibly continuing into the following week, motorists can expect one-lane traffic across the bridge, as crews will be on the scene to make permanent repairs.
