A local woman is among 13 caregivers honored by the Arkansas Health Care Association and Arkansas Assisted Living Association. The 13 were honored at the 15th Annual Caregiver Awards during National Caregiver Month. The event is held to recognize those nominated for the exceptional care they provide to patients and families across the state.Mondalyn McCormick of White River Health Care and Rehab in Calico Rock is the recipient of the Adult Volunteer of the Year award.

“The Caregiver Awards are the core of what we do as an organization,” says Rachel Bunch, Executive Director of the Arkansas Health Care Association and Arkansas Assisted Living Association. “It’s our promise to be like family when family can’t be there, and these professionals set the standard for our mission and our purpose.”

The awards were presented at a ceremony earlier this month in Little Rock.
