Christmas in Cotter events begin Sunday

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Cotter, with the kick off Sunday of Tour the Lights in Cotter and Big Spring Park. The tour is free and continues through Jan. 2.While the tour begins the holiday festivities, mark your calendars for Christmas in Cotter set for Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. at Big Spring Park.

The event includes an opportunity for pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the gazebo, Christmas carols, refreshments, a bonfire with s’mores and hot chocolate.

The holiday activities include a house decorating contest. Awards for the best decorated house on the boulevard and Cotter-wide will be presented during Christmas in Cotter on Dec. 21.

The holiday activities are sponsored by the City of Cotter, with contributions from the Cotter Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Saturday Club of Cotter, American Legion Post 23-VFW 5742 and the Cotter-Gassville Chamber of Commerce.
