Flurry of Christmas parades continues

The holiday season is arriving with a flurry of events this week across North Central Arkansas.

Mountain Home will hold its inaugural Town Christmas Festival on Friday, along with Berryville’s annual parade. Saturday will see Branson host its annual Adoration Parade.

The 2019 Jingle Bell parade at the Gainesville Wonders of Christmas festival will get underway at 7 p.m. Friday and circle the Gainesville square. According to the Ozark County Times, parade organizer Paula Rose says so far, the parade is scheduled to have 14 floats and 20 to 30 other businesses participating in different ways. A Christmas tree lighting ceremony will follow in the gazebo, along with a performance by the Gainesville Elementary choir and visiting with Santa. Parents are encouraged to bring a camera or phone to take their own photos with Santa.
