Tuesday is known as Giving Tuesday, and the Baxter County Library Foundation is launching its end-of-year giving campaign. The goal of Wrap it Up for the Library is to raise at least $10,000 for the Donald W. Reynolds Library before 2019 comes to an end.

The library relies on donations to assist in making different programs and services possible. Last year, a quarter of the library’s revenue was provided by the Baxter County Library Foundation. The foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Donald W. Reynolds Library.

To participate in the Wrap it Up for the Library campaign, make a donation in person at the library, or go online to baxlib.org. Local sponsors will pledge matching funds for every dollar donated through the end of the year.

Potential donors can also show support for the Baxter County Library Foundation by creating a Facebook fundraiser and sharing it with their friends on Giving Tuesday. Go online to facebook.com/fundraisers. Facebook is contributing up to a $7 million match to nonprofits in the United States for this year’s Giving Tuesday. The match will go live Tuesday beginning at 7 a.m.

Every dollar raised during Wrap it Up for the Library will help the Donald W. Reynolds Library continue to provide the community with programming and services. For more information, contact Baxter Library Foundation Coordinator Adeana Estoll at 870-580-0705 or foundation@baxtercountylibrary.org.
