Boone County man injured in Missouri accident, faces drunk driving charges

A Boone County man was injured in a one-vehicle accident early Wednesday morning in Missouri. Twenty-five-year-old Travis Anderson of Omaha was transported to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield with what were described as moderate injuries, and he is facing drunk driving charges.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Anderson was traveling on U.S. Highway 65 in Christian County. His vehicle reportedly ran off the roadway and overturned several times down an embankment. The vehicle was totaled in the 12:55 a.m. accident.

Anderson was cited for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and no seatbelt.
