5 arrested in Searcy County on drug-related offenses; 3 charged with operating drug premises

Searcy County Sheriff Kenny Cassell says three Searcy County residents were arrested Tuesday morning and charged with drug-related offenses. The three, 49-year-old Kevin Massey and Angelique “Angel” Turner and Crystal Fuentes, whose ages and addresses were not available, were arrested in Leslie. Their arrests followed a search of Massey’s residence located along Oxley Road.

During a search of Turner, methamphetamine was located on her body. Fuentes also had methamphetamine on her body, but Cassell says she turned it over to law enforcement officials before a search was conducted.

Massey, who is a convicted felon, was charged with six counts of delivery of a Schedule II narcotic and operating a drug premises. Turner and Fuentes were charged with felony counts of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Turner is on felony probation with Arkansas Community Correction, while Fuentes is a registered sex offender.

The three are being held in the Searcy County Detention Center awaiting their first appearance in Searcy County Circuit Court. Bond amounts were not provided.

Assisting the Searcy County Sheriff’s Department were members of the 20th Judicial Drug Task Force and the Marshall Police Department.

Affidavits filed Tuesday indicate 58-year-old Cynthia Jo Kerr of Marshall has been arrested and charged with three felony counts of delivery of a Schedule IV controlled substance and operating a drug premises. Kerr’s arrest follows three alleged drug sales to a confidential informant in September and October.

The second affidavit indicates 22-year-old Austin Haggerty of Leslie has been arrested and charged with three felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; proximity to certain facilities and operating a drug premises. Haggerty’s charges also follow three alleged drug sales to a confidential information in September and October.

Bond amounts for Kerr and Haggerty are not provided on court documents.
