EL PASO, Texas (AP) – Bryson Williams posted 19 points and seven rebounds as UTEP topped Arkansas-Pine Bluff 59-50 on Saturday night.
Souley Boum added nine points for the Miners (6-1).
Marquell Carter had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Lions (1-7), who scored only 16 points in the second half.
UTEP plays NC A&T next Monday. Arkansas-Pine Bluff plays Oregon State on the road next Saturday.
