A local officer from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is receiving some positive attention on social media after rescuing a deer on Friday. Corporal Lyndle Crownover ended up cutting the buck’s antlers after it got caught in a fence.
Corporal Crownover said the call came in to the Calico Rock regional office about the buck off Arkansas Highway 178 between Midway and Lakeview. He said he originally thought he would have to put the deer down to prevent it from suffering any further.
