After dropping the first game of the day to Mountain View, Izard County’s junior high students played with all they had to win five straight games.
These wins got them to the finals where they faced Mountain View again. Izard County Quiz Bowl Coach Charles Treat says, “Instead of focusing on the loss from earlier in the day, they kept their heads, won the rematch and forced a winner-take-all finale (double elimination so we had to beat them twice).”
