Gassville City Council to consider alderman’s resignation

The resignation of an alderman is among several items on the Gassville City Council’s agenda during its regular December session Tuesday evening at 6. Thom Embach, the council member for Ward 1, Position 2, informed Mayor Jeff Braim he is relocating, and his resignation will be effective on New Year’s Eve.

Other items of business include the final readings for franchise fee ordinances, heating and air conditioning quotes for the Gassville Community Center, the 2018 water/wastewater audit, an ordinance to rezone property on Whitaker Lane from residential R-2 to commercial C-2, an appropriation for an additional payment to a capital improvement loan, the updated planning and zoning map, the compensation for the city’s building inspector and the budget for the fiscal year 2020.

The meeting will be held in the community center on South School Street.
