The Gassville City Council dealt with a busy agenda Tuesday night during its regular December meeting. Mayor Jeff Braim says the council is taking applications to fill a void on the council following a resignation.

In other business, the Gassville City Council approved the franchise fee ordinance on its third reading, with the fees to be collected starting in February, approved the 2020 budget, approved a bid of nearly $11,700 for heating and air in the community building, approved a new planning and zoning map for the city and heard the first reading of a proposal to rezone property on Whitaker Lane from residential to commercial.
