A Muskogee, Oklahoma, man is jailed in the Baxter County Detention Center on charges stemming for a 2017 incident here.

According to Captain Jeff Lewis of the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, 47-year-old Stanley L. Rowe was extradited from Oklahoma on outstanding warrants on Monday.

Electronic court records indicate Rowe was charged with felony and misdemeanor theft of property, domestic battery and criminal mischief on Oct. 31, 2017.

The charges are in connection with an incident reported to the sheriff’s office on Oct. 6 of that year. A Baxter County deputy interviewed the victim in the case, who said Rowe had struck her and held a butter knife to her throat after an argument the prior evening.

The woman told authorities Rowe allegedly continued to abuse her until 3 a.m ., when he took the victim’s vehicle without permission, along with her iPad, debit card and cellphone. The investigating deputy noted bruises on the victim.

Rowe allegedly took the victim’s vehicle and headed north on State Highway 101, with the SUV recovered four days later in Chouteau, Oklahoma, after sustaining $2,800 worth of damage.
