A mother and three children lost their home and all their possessions in a fire Thursday in the southern part of Baxter County.Lone Rock Fire Chief Dale Bonnett says his department responded to the call Thursday afternoon at 4:15 on County Road 126 off Culp Road.

Chief Bonnett says the homeowner, Kayleen Wallace, arrived to find the residence and all the family’s possessions totally destroyed by fire. He says the log home and its contents had apparently been burning most of the day.

A family member said there has been an outpouring of support and love from the community. However, the family member says Wallace and her children, including twins under the age of 2, are still in need of items. She says when asked, the mother only asks for items for her children.

The twin boy wears a 3T and size 7 toddler shoes, while his sister wears a 4T. She has shoes. Size 6 diapers and wipes would be appreciated. Their teen sister wears a junior medium size in shirts or tops, medium size leggings and a size 7 women’s shoe.

Anyone with questions about the needs of the family may contact Amber Wallace at 870-321-0223.
