Two teens have been arrested in Fulton County after they allegedly entered a home with a female and assaulted a sleeping victim with two large sticks.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 19-year-old Lane “D.J.” Ray and 16-year-old Kamren Harber have been charged with felony counts of aggravated residential burglary, a Class Y felony. Class Y felonies are the most serious classification of crime in Arkansas not punishable by death. Bonds for the two were set at $100,000 each.

The victim told law enforcement he was sleeping when he heard a noise about 5 on the morning of Nov. 24 and opened his eyes to assess his surroundings, but not enough for anyone to notice.

He said he saw Ray and Harber walk quietly into his room holding two large sticks, one described as a piece of wooden board and the other appearing to be a solid cane.

Ray allegedly began to count down from three, and when he reached two, the victim said he quickly rolled over to the side of his bed and jumped out.

The victim said he asked the two teens what they were doing in his room. In response, Ray reportedly asked the victim if he thought he could fight with him and get away with it. The victim them reportedly told Ray he had started “it” and told the two teens to leave his property.

The victim said he told the teens he was calling the cops and was proceeding to do so when Ray and Harber began aggressively beating him with the sticks.

The victim said he grabbed a blanket trying to protect himself, was able to take Ray to the ground, and dodged a swing from Harber. He then fled from the house to a shop, seeking help from five other people who were “still on the property.”

Ray and Harber reportedly jumped into a vehicle being driven by the female who had accompanied them to the victim’s home.

One of the members of the group of five told law enforcement he saw the vehicle coming toward him, leading him to jump on its hood and off the other side, as it sped away.

The victim said he located his cellphone at the end of the driveway about two hours later.
