A two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon in Taney County resulted in serious injuries to both drivers. Seventy-two-year-old Billie Rainbolt of Omaha and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Branson were both transported by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the teen was traveling in a northbound lane on U.S. Highway 65 nearly a mile south of Hollister. A westbound SUV, driven by Rainbolt, pulled into the path of the teen’s pickup truck, and the two vehicles collided.

Both vehicles were totaled in the 1:45 p.m. accident.
