Basketball makes up much of the local Friday schedule, as the North Arkansas College Invitational High School Tournament will hold its semifinals at the Pioneer Pavilion in Harrison. In girls’ action, Norfork meets top-seeded Bergman at 4 p.m., and Valley Springs faces Alpena at 6:40. On the boys’ bracket, Bergman takes on Clinton at 5:20, and top-seeded Valley Springs will be paired with Western Grove at 8.
In other high school basketball, Mountain Home Christian Academy hosts Mountain Grove, Salem entertains Sloan-Hendrix for three boys’ games, Izard County is home against Mount Vernon-Enola, Melbourne hosts Sloan-Hendrix for three girls’ games, and Marshall travels to Alma.
On the junior high level, Flippin entertains Western Grove.
