High school basketball Monday:
In boys’ action:
-Norfork blasted Jasper 73-48 to improve to 12-8 on the season.
-Cotter held off Bakersfield 51-44. Dylan Dwyer netted 20 points and Trevor Reese scored 10 for the Warriors.
-Viola won its opener at the Kell Classic in Swifton by topping Pangburn 80-68. The Longhorns are now 18-4.
In girls’ action:
-Norfork cruised past Jasper 62-38 to up its record to 12-8
-Cotter topped Bakersfield 44-34. Kate Cheek scored 17 and Kaylee Crownover had 13 for the Lady Warriors. Cotter won the JV girls’ game 28-10. Afton Massey led the scoring with nine points.
-Flippin lost to Lead Hill 65-56 to fall to 9-10 on the season.
