The project with the second highest construction value for a permit issued in December went to Bryan Bell for a remodel at Superior Title Service, located at 114 East Ninth Street. The 1,760-square-foot project has a construction value of $70,000.
A second remodel permit was issued to La Paloma, located at 1014 Highland Circle, with a constructional value of $16,000.
Permits were also issued for two storage buildings. One went to Apostolic Faith Pentecostal Church, located at 750 Green Valley Drive, with a construction cost of $45,000, with the second issued to Steve Painter for a 100-square-foot storage building, located at 920 East Fourth Street, with a construction value of $1,125.
Six sign permits were issued in December. Topping the list was a permit issued to Arkansas Sign and Banner for Walmart, located at 65 North Walmart Drive, with a construction value of $15,000.
Also on the list was a permit issued to Sign Tech for Dusit Thai Inc., located at 343 U.S. Highway 62 East, with a construction value of $2,000. Two permits were issued to Oxford Signs and Neon, with one for Grandma’s House, located at 914 South Main, with a construction value of $1,800 and the second for Elite Home Health, located at 330 State Highway 5 North, Suite 114.
A permit was issued to Crenshaw Signs Inc. for Vapor Maven, located at 406 U.S. Highway 62 East, Suite 1, with a construction value of $1,350 and to Dijohn Designs Inc. for City on a Hill Church, located at 1221 Commerce Drive, with a construction value of $800.
Total construction value of the 11 permits issued in December was $8.8 million.
The cost of all permits issued for the month of December totaled $17,975, including the actual cost of building, electric, mechanical, plumbing and a rezoning permit.
The city building and inspection department handled 52 inspections for the month.
