The Arkansas Department of Health is advising the boil order for the Leslie Water System in Searcy County has been lifted. According to the department’s website, the order was lifted Wednesday afternoon.

However, a number of orders in northern Arkansas remain in place. Those boil orders include the Mt. Sherman, Nail-Swain, Deer, Mockingbird Hill, Parthenon and East Newton County water associations, all in Newton County.

Boil orders also remain in place in the Lake Bull Shoals Estates Water system in Marion County and the South Mountain and Morning Star water systems in Searcy County. Also on the list are the SPG Water Association in Marion and Searcy counties and Western Grove Municipal Water in Boone, Newton and Searcy counties.

The reason for the orders is listed as “treatment upset/interruption,” and they cover the entire system.

All water customers in the impacted areas need to boil water used for cooking or consumption briskly for three to five minutes.

The boil orders will be in effect until water samples tested by the state are deemed good.
