Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule, as four of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will face Greene County Tech in front of the home crowd. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 4 p.m. followed by the seventh grade boys and both freshmen contests.
In other junior high action, Flippin hosts Alpena, Yellville-Summit entertains Green Forest, Calico Rock is home against Mountain View, Marshall hosts Bergman, Valley Springs entertains Clinton, and Melbourne’s junior varsity teams will travel to Cave City.
On the high school level, Gainesville’s girls will play their opener in the Sparta Lady Trojans Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs will be paired with Norwood at 5:30.
Elsewhere, Cotter makes the trip to Eros to play Bruno-Pyatt, the Bakersfield girls head to Mountain View-Liberty, Dora’s girls are home against Mountain Grove, and St. Joe hosts Deer.
