Trafalgar Releasing/Doors Property L.L.C.An extended trailer for the new concert film and documentary The Doors: Break On Thru — A Celebration of Ray Manzarek has premiered online at The Doors‘ official YouTube channel.
The film, which focuses on a star-studded 2016 tribute show to the late Doors keyboardist that was held in Los Angeles, will be shown in select theaters around the world on what would’ve been Ray Manzarek‘s 81st birthday — February 12.
The trailer features audio snippets of The Doors’ two surviving members, guitarist Robby Krieger and drummer John Densmore, talking about how they came together to organize the event.
The minute-long promo also includes a montage of clips of the various musicians who took part in the show, including Densmore, Krieger, Foo Fighters‘ Taylor Hawkins and Rami Jaffee, Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo, Paul McCartney touring guitarist Brian Ray, Jane’s Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins, Gov’t Mule/former Allman Brothers Band singer/guitarist Warren Haynes and X‘s Exene Cervenka and John Doe.
You also hear the live rendition of the Doors classic “Light My Fire” that was played at the concert, apparently during the show’s finale.

Manzarek died of bile duct cancer in May 2013 at the age of 74.
