More rain, possible wintry mix for Saturday

At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting stations for Mountain Home, 2.3 inches of rainfall have been recorded since 7 a.m. Friday for a two-day total of 3.25 inches. While there is more rain in the forecast, Meteorologist Thomas Jones says the biggest concern is flooding caused from a runoff from the previous night’s storms.

A flash flood warning is in effect for southern Missouri until 10:45 Saturday morning.

There is also a possibility for a wintry mix in the Twin Lakes Area on Saturday. While the chance for accumulation in North Central Arkansas is slim, Jones says that possibility becomes greater in Missouri.
