Basketball makes up much of the local Monday schedule, as three of Mountain Home’s junior high teams will be in Jonesboro to face Annie Camp. The eighth grade boys’ game tips off at 4:30 followed by both freshmen contests.
After the weather threat postponed Saturday’s games, a few area schools will begin action in the Alpena Junior High Tournament on Monday. Valley Springs’ boys will meet Deer at 6, and the Omaha girls will take on Green Forest at 7.
In other junior high basketball, Cotter hosts Yellville-Summit, Mammoth Spring travels to Brockwell to play Izard County, and Marshall entertains Mountain View.
On the high school level, Flippin will send two girls’ teams to meet Bruno-Pyatt, Bakersfield’s girls are home against Gainesville, the Dora girls host Couch, Dora’s boys make the trip to Bradleyville, and Salem will send three girls’ teams to Melbourne.
