New dementia-friendly story time kicks off Thursday at BC Library

Baxter County Library personnel are introducing Forgotten Tales Thursday, a story time for dementia patients and their caregivers.The library’s Adult Programs Coordinator Mariah Hansen says library staff completed training through the Mruk Family Center on Aging at Baxter Regional Medical Center to prepare for Forgotten Tales.

Dementia caregivers are encouraged to bring their parent, friend or family member to hear classic tales, familiar music and experience a calming environment.
