The outing, dubbed The Stadium Tour, kicks off June 21 in San Antonio and is mapped out through a September 5 concert in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California.

In the video, frontman Joe Elliott says fans who come out to the big venues to see Def Leppard and the other rock legends on the trek can expect to see his band deliver a set filled with its biggest hits.

“These kind of shows are celebrations of what we’ve achieved. And so, there’s nothing wrong with playing the hits,” the singer maintains. “To be able to share those songs with 60-, 70-, 80-thousand people in the stadium, you just couldn’t wish for any more.”

Reflecting on the tour’s star-packed lineup, guitarist Phil Collen notes that “all four bands had massive success on MTV, and we’re all from the same era.” He adds, “I think it’s gonna be spectacular, because we all share a generation.”

Guitarist Vivian Campbell, meanwhile, points out that there’s something special about playing or attending a large-scale concert.

“You experience live music and you feel it in your body. It’s a very visceral experience,” he says. “It’s also the communal aspect of it. You’re there with literally tens of thousands of people. That just creates an energy that you don’t get at home.”

Campbell also feels that Def Leppard is at the top of their game.

“We’ve dedicated our lives and our careers to finessing our performance,” he says, “and the band just keeps getting better and better and better.”
