The Rotary Club of Mountain Home hosted a program from the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) earlier this month.

Rotary board member Scott Sillence, owner of Gene’s Trout Fishing Resort, introduced his guest speaker, Christy Graham, trout management supervisor with AGFC. Graham spoke to the club about the economic impact of trout fishing in north Arkansas, trends and rules for trout fishing, the local fish hatchery services and the future projects of the commission in the area.

Rotarians had many comments and questions about the subject and, in a huge round of applause, showed their appreciation for the work of the AGFC.

Club President Kriss Yunker announced two proposed new members, then thanked Jay Chafin for volunteering to coordinate the dictionary delivery to third-graders in Mountain Home, Cotter, Norfork and Calico Rock schools, as well as the Mountain Home Christian Academy.
