Credit: Gottlieb Bros.Yes has announced plans to play a brief series of concerts in the Southeastern U.S. in advance of the 2020 edition of the famed prog-rock band’s Cruise to the Edge.

The confirmed shows kick off with a March 19 performance in North Charleston, South Carolina, and are followed by three concerts in Florida — March 22 in Clearwater, March 24 in Jacksonville and March 25 in Fort Lauderdale.

The Alan Parsons Live Project will open all of the dates, at which Yes will focus on playing classics from its catalog.

“We can’t think of a better way to lead into our ‘Cruise to the Edge’ than with [these] shows in the Southeast,” says guitarist Steve Howe.

Adds drummer Alan White, “Florida and South Carolina in the spring sounds absolutely perfect for a British band like us. We look forward to seeing everyone for a night of YES music.”

Tickets for the concerts go on sale to the general public this Friday, January 24, at 10 a.m. ET.

As previously reported, this year’s Cruise to the Edge sets sail from Miami on March 27 and stops on Harvest Caye in Belize and Roatan Island in Honduras before returning to port April 1. Among the artists joining Yes on the lineup are ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Marillion, Saga, Gong, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather‘s side project Nerve Bundle, and prog supergroup Flying Colors, which features ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse.

After the cruise, Yes will launch spring tour of Europe and the U.K.  The band also will soon announce plans for a full-length fall 2020 North American. Check out all of the group’s shows at YesWorld.com.
