Courtesy of Lockn’ FestivalThis past November, organizers of the Lockn’ Festival revealed that the 2020 edition of the jam-heavy music extravaganza will feature an all-star celebration of founding Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh‘s 80th birthday. Now the fest’s full lineup has been announced.

Lesh will perform with various musicians all three days of the festival, which takes place June 19 to June 21 in Arrington, Virginia.  Other artists on the bill include David Crosby, Hot Tuna, Gov’t Mule, Bruce Hornsby, ex-Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge, Phish‘s Mike Gordon and many more.

June 19 and 20, Lesh will play two sets each day with a collective dubbed the Phil Lesh Quintet that also will feature Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes, Widespread Panic guitarist Jimmy Herring, keyboardist Rob Barraco, and ex-Bruce Hornsby and the Range drummer John Molo. Crosby also will sit in with the quintet on the 20th.

On June 21, Phil will play two sets with John Mayer and popular Grateful Dead tribute act James Russo’s Almost Dead.

Among the other highlights planned for June 19 include sets by Gov’t Mule and Hornsby with his current group The Noisemakers, as well as a performance of Fleetwood Mac‘s Rumours album by a group called The Chain Gang that features Allman Brothers progeny Devon Allman, Duane Betts and Berry Oakley Jr.; Cody and Luther Dickinson; and Samantha Fish.

June 20’s lineup also will include solo performances by Crosby and Gordon, and a set by Burbridge’s Oteil & Friends outfit.

The final day of Lockn also will feature Hot Tuna playing with its “electric” lineup, Railroad Earth and soul singer Leon Bridges.
