A Gassville man entered a guilty plea to drug and weapons charges during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday and was sentenced to four years in prison.

The charges against 42-year-old Chadwick Wallace stemmed from a traffic stop in late December 2018.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Wallace was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over by a Mountain Home Police officer for a traffic infraction.

When the officer checked on the two people in the vehicle, he found Wallace had active arrest warrants.

The officer reported finding two used syringes in Wallace’s pocket and a small set of scales on the center console of the truck.

According to the probable cause affidavit, 17 grams of a substance believed to be methamphetamine were located in the vehicle, as well as a pistol, which was located under the seat Wallace was occupying. Wallace was a convicted felon and not permitted to be in contact with weapons.
