ABC/Image Group LAAs Green Day gears up to release a new album, Billie Joe Armstrong wants to put a new coat of paint on one of the band’s previous records.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Armstrong says he wants to “go back and re-record” Green Day’s 2000 effort, Warning, which spawned the single “Minority.”

“It was right when Pro Tools started happening,” Armstrong explains.

“I want to go back and just do everything more live, because I think ‘Minority’ live is a lot better than it came out on the album,” he continues. “But that’s just one of those things that you think about too much.”

While we wait for a potential Re-Warning, you can look forward to Green Day’s brand-new album, Father of All…, due out on Friday, February 7. The punk trio will hit the road this summer in support of the record on the Hella Mega tour with Fall Out Boy and Weezer.
