The sold-out event, dubbed The Bruce Springsteen Archives, will take place at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, April 25, at 4 p.m. ET.

Zimny has had a long ongoing collaborative relationship with Bruce that has included directing 2018’s Springsteen on Broadway Netflix special and co-directing — with The Boss — last year’s Western Stars concert film.

“I’m honored to celebrate my 20-year collaboration with Bruce and [Springsteen manager] Jon [Landau] by sharing some of the treasures, both recent and past, from the Springsteen Archives with the fans,” says Zimny.

The event will feature performance footage — some previously unseen — that spans from Springsteen’s early career to his recent tours.

Chris Phillips, editor of the Springsteen fan site Backstreets, will moderate a panel discussion afterward.

The festival is presenting the screening in partnership with the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American Music at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, New Jersey.

The sixth annual Asbury Park Music + Film Festival runs from April 23 to April 26. Among the fest’s other scheduled events are a Melissa Etheridge concert on April 23 at the Paramount Theatre; a 50th anniversary tribute to Joe Cocker‘s Mad Dogs & Englishmen live album on April 24 at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey; and a screening of rare archival Bob Dylan footage on April 26 at House of Independents in Asbury Park.

Funds raised by the Asbury Park Music & Film Festival go to provide music education, instruments, and social connection opportunities for in-need children in the local area.
