ABC AudioSteve Lukather announced this past October that Toto was going on indefinite hiatus after the band finished its 40th anniversary tour, but the guitar whiz has plenty of other projects to keep him busy.

Lukather’s 2020 schedule includes a recently announced series of New York City shows in August with his side project Toxic Monkey.  That takes place after his latest tour with Ringo Starr‘s All Starr Band and performances on Yes’ latest Cruise to the Edge event with another side group, Nerve Bundle.

Toxic Monkey will be playing a four-night, six-concert stand at New York’s famed jazz club The Iridium from August 19 to August 22. The engagement will feature two performances on August 21 and 22.

Joining Lukather in Toxic Monkey are longtime Steely Dan touring guitarist Keith Carlock, bassist Will Lee of Paul Shaffer‘s CBS Orchestra, acclaimed jazz sax player Bill Evans and veteran jazz-funk keyboardist Steve Weingart.

As previously reported, Ringo and the All Starr Band’s next North American trek will get underway with a May 29-30 engagement in Rama, Canada, and is plotted out through a June 28 concert in Clearwater, Florida.

As for Nerve Bundle, that group also features Gov’t Mule bassist Jorgen Carlsson, one-time Toto touring keyboardist Jeff Babko and journeyman drummer Toss Panos.

Nerve Bundle is among the many acts performing on Yes’ 2020 Cruise to the Edge, which sets sail from Miami on March 27 and stops in Belize and Honduras before returning to port April 1.

Among the other artists joining Yes on the cruise: ex-Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Marillion, Saga, Gong and prog supergroup Flying Colors, which features ex-Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy and Deep Purple guitarist Steve Morse.
