$1.5M Walmart remodel tops January building permit list

A $1.5 million remodeling project at Walmart topped the list of building permits issued by the City of Mountain Home in January, according to a report from Jeannie Anderson from the Building Inspection Department. The permit was issued to Jetton General Contracting for the 220,167-square-foot project.The permit for the Walmart remodel was just one of four issued in January.

The second largest permit was issued to Mark Bertel Construction for a residence at 1909 Gregg Road, lot 213. The 2,136-square-foot project has a construction value of $150,000.

A permit was issued to Andrew Adam for a remodel and addition project at 2011 Brentwood Drive. The 300-square-foot project has a construction value of $40,000.

The final permit was issued to Oxford Sign for a sign replacement at River City Flooring, located at 2740 U.S. Highway 62 East. The project has a construction value of $4,200.

Total construction value of the four permits issued in January was $1.7 million.

The cost of all permits issued for the month of January totaled $5,789, including the actual cost of building, electric, mechanical and plumbing.

The city building and inspection department handled 28 inspections for the month.
