Basic training for community members who are assisting with the Census 2020 will be provided Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the Baxter County Library.The training will provide information for community members who will be completing the Census 2020, assisting someone in completing the process, or who may need to have questions answered about it.The training is presented by Arkansas State Library Deputy Director Jennifer Chilcoat.
Baxter County Judge Mickey Pendergrass says the Baxter County Library will be a focal point throughout the census process.

Judge Pendergrass is among 30 volunteers across the state appointed by Governor Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas Complete Count Committee to promote statewide participation in the Census 2020. Pendergrass is the lone county judge serving on the committee.

Pendergrass says historically Baxter County has had a high participation rates with the census process. But he stresses the importance of continuing the legacy.

Census Day will be observed on April 1 nationwide. By this date, every home will receive an invitation to participate in the Census 2020.
