The Rotary Club of Mountain Home has delivered over 400 dictionaries to area third grade students in Cotter, Norfork, Mountain Home and Calico Rock, continuing an annual tradition.

The books are an encyclopedia of information about the U.S. government, the individual states, braille and sign language, as well as 372 pages of definitions and pronunciations.

Brenda Nelson, Rotary PR Chair, says, “The children are always so excited to get a book ‘of their very own’ to take home with them at the end of the school year.” Rotarians have been told by students that they were still using the books when they left for college. Projects like this one are made possible by the community’s support of the annual Rotary pancake day.
