The event, which took place at the Sunset Marquis Hotel, saw Krieger accompanied by The Tangiers Blues Band — a group featuring rock photographer Danny Clinch that previously has performed with Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Vedder and other well-known artists — to play select Doors tunes with various special guests.

Cyrus joined Krieger and company for a rendition of “Roadhouse Blues,” Michael Bolton belted out the Doors classic “Light My Fire,” actor/musician Dennis Quaid performed “L.A. Woman” and members of the contemporary rock band The Struts took the stage for a version of “Riders on the Storm.”

You can check out a video clip of Cyrus singing “Roadhouse Blues” on her Instagram.

Among the many guest performers at the bash were Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki, Stray Cats drummer Slim Jim Phantom, Gary Clark Jr., Australian guitar whiz Orianthi, Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes and renowned guitarist Jimmy Vivino.

The party was hosted by fashion designer John Varvatos and photographer Timothy White. Also in attendance was renowned photographer Henry Diltz, who took the photo featured on the cover of the Morrison Hotel album.

The bash also celebrated the 20th anniversary of the Los Angeles-area branch of the Morrison Hotel Gallery, which is located in the lobby of the Sunset Marquis. The gallery currently is hosting an exhibit of Diltz’s photos that includes outtakes from his impromptu photo session for the album cover. The pics will be on display through February 23.
