Courtesy of Autism SpeaksAfter skipping 2019, Stephen Stills is bringing back his star-studded Light Up the Blues Concert, which raises money for the Autism Speaks charity, for 2020.
This year’s benefit show will take place May 30 at L.A.’s Greek Theatre and will feature performances by Stephen, his Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young band mate Neil Young, country legend Willie Nelson, indie-pop act Lucius and Promise of the Real — the roots-rock band fronted by Willie’s son Lukas.
Also performing will be two of Stills’ sons: Chris and Oliver.
Stephen and his wife Kristen once again will serve as the hosts of the Light Up the Blues Concert, which will be emceed by Jack Black.
Tickets for the show go on sale to the general public this Friday, February 14, at 10 a.m. PT via TicketMaster.com, while an artist pre-sale will be available starting Wednesday, February 12, at 10 a.m. PT.
“With this year’s stellar lineup — and a meaningful venue in the Greek Theatre, our hometown favorite — I am itching to get on stage with this crew and support the efforts of Autism Speaks,” says Stephen. “It’s going to be another exciting and marvelous show!”
Autism Speaks is an organization that supports research and advocacy for people affected by autism and their families. One of Stills’ sons is on the spectrum.
In addition to raising money for Autism Speaks, the Light Up the Blues Concert will help contribute to the organization’s “Year of Kindness” campaign, which has set a goal of achieving one million acts of kindness during 2020 to make the world a kinder place for people with autism.
