Basketball makes up the local Thursday schedule, as the semifinals of the 1A-2 Junior District Tournament will be held at Izard County High School in Brockwell. On the girls’ bracket, top-seeded Norfork and Omaha will tip off at 4:30, and the host Junior Lady Cougars face Western Grove at 7. In the boys’ games, Norfork will take on top-seeded Calico Rock at 5:45, and Bruno-Pyatt plays Omaha at 8:15.
On the high school level, Gainesville’s girls host Seymour, the Lutie boys entertain Riverview Christian, and Dora’s girls travel to Summersville.
