The Americana Tour kicks off June 13 in Austin, Texas, and is mapped out through a September 4 performance at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, by Miller and his band, plus an as-yet-unannounced opening act.

Most of the shows on the 40-date trek will feature Steve and his group supported by Stuart and his band, as well as comedian and singer Gary Mule Deer. Two of the concerts, scheduled for August 8 in Wantagh, New York, and August 9 in Holmdel, New Jersey, are festival performances that also will feature Brian Wilson and veteran folk-blues singer Taj Mahal.

In addition, the tour also includes a four-date run during late July in four cities in Ontario, Canada, where the Steve Miller Band will be supported by young singer/guitarist Matthew Curry instead of Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives and Mule Deer.

“Touring with Marty and the Superlatives is inspirational,” says Miller. “This is undoubtedly one of the most talented touring combinations I’ve ever been involved in. We look forward to continuing working together to explore the roots of American Music. Adding the musical comedy of Gary Mule Deer to the show will be an unexpected treat for our fans.”

On July 11, two days before the Americana Tour gets underway, Miller will be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at a ceremony in New York City.
