High school basketball makes up the local Friday schedule, as Mountain Home makes its first road trip in 2 1/2 weeks. The Bombers and Lady Bombers will continue conference play, as they go to Paragould.
Mountain Home’s girls are 18-4 on the season and 7-2 in the 5A-East after picking up a 14-point win Tuesday over Greene County Tech. Paragould lost to Jonesboro to fall to 7-13 and 3-6. The Lady Bombers edged out the Lady Rams 32-30 on Jan. 17.
The Mountain Home boys are 12-10 overall and 3-6 in the league, as they come off a 17-point loss to Tech. Paragould is 1-19 and 0-9 after getting mercy ruled by Jonesboro. The Bombers defeated the Rams 66-48 nearly a month ago.
The junior varsity games tip off at 5 p.m. The varsity contests will begin around 6 and can be heard on Classic Hits 101.7 and streaming live at ktlo.com
Also in the 5A-East, Searcy travels to Marion, Jonesboro makes the trip to Paragould to face Tech, and Nettleton heads to West Memphis.
Elsewhere, Norfork travels to Jasper, Flippin hosts Western Grove, Yellville-Summit entertains Bruno-Pyatt, Bakersfield makes the trip to Myrtle to take on Couch, Gainesville’s boys head to Mansfield, the Dora boys are home against Norwood for homecoming, Viola hosts Hillcrest, Salem travels to Calico Rock, Mammoth Spring entertains Riverside, Izard County is home against Atkins, Marshall hosts Timbo, Lead Hill entertains Deer, Bergman makes the trip to Highland, Valley Springs is home against Alpena, and Omaha hosts Kingston.
